About Us

The Newtownards & Bangor Child Contact Centres are voluntary organisations overseen by a management committee and run by a part-time Coordinator with a team of trained, committed volunteers who are impartial and sensitive to the needs of the families. Before Volunteers start in the Centre, they must provide two referees and undergo an AccessNI police check.

In Newtownards, we use St Marks Parish Centre, Church Street, Newtownards BT23 4AN.

In Bangor we are located in 1st Bangor Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Bangor, BT20 4AG. The centre is run each Thursday 4pm - 6pm

Games, toys, craft materials and play station are available.
Tea, coffee, fruit and snacks are available at reasonable prices.

A waiting room is available where those bringing children can wait while the children enjoy their contact downstairs. The adults do not have to meet if they don’t want to.
There are Volunteers on hand to make sure everyone has what they need and to give a hand where necessary.
